Luis A. Perez

President & Chief Executive Officer

Luis A. Perez has been instrumental in the creation and expansion of GRSLA. Prior to being named President and CEO, Mr. Perez served as the Executive Director of the Horizons at Harley program (2010-2015), and in 2013 added the role of Director - Program Support and Expansion for GRSLA.

Mr. Perez has committed the past 30+ years to helping low-income, inner-city children be successful academically and in life. Mr. Perez, a NYS licensed social-worker, is a Rochester native of Puerto-Rican descent. In 2001, Mr. Perez founded and became the Executive Director of HOPE Initiatives, CDC a faith-based community development corporation serving the county of Monroe.

A graduate of Monroe High School, he received his Master's Degree in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan College, a Bachelor's of Science in Social Work from Nazareth College of Rochester, and an AAS in Human Services from Monroe Community College.

Luis is married to Pamela and they have two adult children, Luis Gary and Rachel.
