Jackson Street R Center houses a UPK classroom with a whole lot of power. That classroom was filled with love, joy, and exploration! Once you stepped in the room, you will find children hard at work and engaged in hands-on activities. This classroom also had an exceptional teaching team that brought the lessons to life. One of the best benefits of the program being at the R center is that the children get to engage with the community, especially during outside play. It was also a plus only walking down the hallway to get to their swimming lesson.
History
After sponsoring and hosting a summerLEAP UPK classroom at the Adams Street R Center in 2019 and 2021. The summerLEAP classroom was moved to the Pamela and Trenton Jackson R-Center on Clinton Avenue in Summer 2022. In Summer 2025, they hosted a classroom of rising Kindergarten students.
