Exploration, Creativity, and Joy in Every Day
At the Ibero Early Childhood Center, children spent their days actively engaged in play and exploration that sparked both joy and learning. Small-group activities allowed each child to work with their own set of materials, touching, testing, and experimenting as they discovered new ideas. Teachers guided students with warmth and passion, helping them apply what they learned throughout the day. The classrooms were always alive with creativity, and visitors could immediately see the projects, play, and discoveries that made learning at Ibero such a vibrant and inspiring experience.
History
In 1968, the Ibero-American Action League was formed to focus on the development and growth of Latinos in Rochester. Today, Ibero serves people of all ethnic backgrounds and runs a variety of programs in the community. Ibero's Early Childhood Center is one of its many initiatives and has been serving the community for thirty years. In 2013, Ibero participated in a pilot program of summerLEAP for UPK students at The Harley School. In 2015, they hosted their first on-site group of Prek summerLEAPers. In summer 2025, Ibero hosted one EPK and one UPK classroom.
